Wormhole Connect has announced that it has integrated Circle’s CCPT. The objective of having Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol is to facilitate in-app transfers of USDC on any EVM Network. This will largely benefit application builders, as they can now utilize the said transfer. Decentralized applications that developers have already built can integrate CCTP by reviewing a 3-line code.
USDC is by far the most used token on Ethereum. Users barely hesitate from holding or executing transactions that have USDC involved. This is another reason why CCTP and Wormhole Connect have found it advantageous to join forces.
To briefly talk about CCTP, it is a permissionless on-chain utility that has been architected to securely enable the transfer of tokens among blockchains. It further simplifies the user experience and unifies liquidity in the upcoming decentralized internet – Web3.
Users who want to bridge or send native USDC via CCTP can do so by following the four steps mentioned below:-
- Navigate to the Portal Bridge
- Connect Wallet
- Select chains for to and from point
- Conclude the bridging process
Wormhole has previously joined hands with Base, allowing users to onboard from any of Wormhole’s 20-plus connected chains across six runtimes. This means that support is extended to and from the Base Mainnet.
The partnership between Wormhole and Moonbeam also dates back to recent days. It highlights that the Liquidity Router connects users and Wormhole liquidity to the Polkadot ecosystem. This happened only after Moonbeam launched MRL – Moonbeam Routed Liquidity.
That has helped Moonbeam unlock billions of dollars in liquidity, allowing the community to address issues including, but not limited to, fragmentation and low liquidity. These were majorly relevant in the ecosystem of Polkadot, where several parachains and applications reside.
Circle and Wormhole Connect facilitating in-app transfers of native USDC on the EVM Network is a great step for builders and users alike. Considering that they require just a 3-line code for integration, developers can be assured that their existing dApps will also benefit from this partnership.
The move aligns with the mission of Wormhole, wherein it states the intention to empower growth and development across blockchains. It is often identified as the leading interoperability platform that is working to accelerate the growth of blockchain technology. Wormhole Connect stands out in the list of offerings as it allows builders to come up with an in-app bridging widget that can be seamlessly integrated.
Wormhole Connect has facilitated more than $35 billion through several cross-chain messages.
Circle helps to move money at a faster speed. The global technology company works to raise economic prosperity through the exchange of value. The team behind Circle continues to stand by its commitment to facilitating transparency.
Circle’s CCTP helps move USDC, a stablecoin, in a smooth fashion. By integrating the functionality, Wormhole Connect empowers its community to showcase the facility with pride.
