Neon EVM recently announced the launch of the most-awaited Neon Points, which will be used to quantify different actions both within the community and on-chain and are essential for Neon’s success.
Neon aims to change the actions required to earn points, which are expected to evolve over time. At first, Neon EVM wants to keep everything simple. The type of Neon points that users can earn for now will be known as Community Points.
The Neon community’s contributions will be actively acknowledged and honored across all Neon platforms. Every contribution from the community is valuable. Neon has maintained three methods for earning and collecting community points: creating, participating, and engaging.
The creating aspect will include YouTube videos, responding to non-affiliated accounts on Neon EVM, threads, quote tweets, thoughtful tweets about Neon EVM, and memes. The participating aspect (yet to be introduced) will include participation on Telegram, Discord, Conference, Event, and Hackathon.
The engaging aspect (yet to be introduced) will involve engagement through thoughtful replies via tweets regarding Neon EVM, Telegram announcement channels, official YouTube channels, affiliate Twitter accounts, following Neon accounts, and liking Neon tweets.
Users can earn community points by participating and engaging during the initial stages since tracking needs to be in place first. Neon EVM is working on this to track contributions made by users in the past, present, and future in the categories mentioned above.
All earning and tracking of Neon community points will be performed on Discord by leveraging XP (experience points). Hence, users will be required to join the Neon EVM Discord platform and report their eligible activities.
Users can follow the official Discord account to learn more about the action scoring process and other rules. To be updated about recent developments and other plans, follow Twitter or join the Neon EVM Discord, community, and Telegram announcement channels.
The neon EVM ecosystem works on a fee-based structure, with NEON as the utility token used for governance. The decentralized protocol will oversee Neon governance at the mainnet launch, with a simple and user-friendly process for voting and suggesting protocol improvements.
Neon EVM provides users with an enhanced solution by bringing the sophistication of the Solana blockchain and low-cost transaction capabilities to ETH builders. With the neon EVM ecosystem, developers can retain familiar languages, such as Vyper and Solidity, well-known Ethereum tools like Remix, Foundry, MetaMask, and Ethereum accounts, token standards, and signatures.
Neon EVM is a sophisticated solution that allows Solana’s swift block speeds, low gas prices, and throughput to be available to all Ethereum smart contracts. It interacts directly with the nodes on the Solana blockchain and carries out transactions on the network. The service consists of three main components: Neon EVM, Neon Proxy, and Neon DAO.
