8 Trademark Applications By Meta
All the speculations have been put to rest now. Instead of Meta, Michael Kondoudis, the licensed Metaverse trademark attorney, broke the news on the internet. He published a tweet and issued a statement to the press.
According to the update shared by Michael Kondoudis, Meta has filed for eight trademark applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office on March 18, 2022.
Trademark applications are directed to register the logo of Meta in different segments, including trading of cryptocurrency within the Metaverse. The move has signaled that Meta has not yet given up on the plan to strengthen its position in the Metaverse segment.
Broadly speaking, all the trademark applications deal with virtual services and crypto trading. As per the tweet published by Michael Kondoudis, the trademark applications filed by Meta include financial trading, crypto tokens, blockchain software, currency trading, virtual currency exchanges, virtual currency wallets, and digital, crypto & virtual currencies.

Michael Kondoudis issued a comment to the press saying that the trademark application filings reflected Mea’s strategy of making a move into the Metaverse. He added that the company had significant plans to drive the virtual economy.
Michael Kondoudis also stated that trademark applications filed by Meta are sure to interest everyone who is engaged in the financial sector or any other related sector.
Meta has joined the list of other players who are on the path to making their mark in the Metaverse. Many brands, celebrities, and corporations have already displayed their interest and kick-started the campaign.
Paris Saint-Germain, also known as PSG, recently filed trademark applications to enable it to offer non-fungible tokens that will be backed by multimedia along with virtual clothing, crypto wallets, digital sports gear, and crypto transaction management to mention a few.
Another player that got on board with a lot of excitement is American Express. It filed seven trademark applications in the previous week to register its name, logo, and slogan to offer multimedia, Crypto services, virtual banking, and exchange services, with multimedia being entirely backed by non-fungible tokens.
Singer Billie Eilish, a recording artist, also filed for trademark applications for the Blohsh logo and Eilish’s name. The filings were submitted by Lash Music LLC in late February.
