Hedera Hashgraph has landed a major deal with the government of the United Kingdom to regulate and build sufficient infrastructures for air traffic. Surprisingly, it has less to do with passenger flights and more with augmenting regional infrastructures to open new gates for drone technologies. Reportedly, the tests have been going on for several months now before the official announcement for the partnership came in through a blog post. And just like that, Hedera Hashgraph has opened a new gate for crypto projects to explore.
The blog post from HBAR stated about its ties with aviation developers from the firm known as Neuron. The engineers from Neuron successfully utilized the network abilities of Hedera Hashgraph to test new methods and infrastructures for controlling air traffic in the United Kingdom. The tests were done with drones whose utilities this partnership is trying to figure out. According to reports, upon the successful completion of this project, these infrastructures and methods of regulation can be used for military reconnaissance, domestic services, medical assistance, and more.
Neuron’s COO Niall Greenwood said that the abilities of drones had been limited so far as safety cannot be ensured once they fly off from the line of visibility. It also stops them from being used for deliveries, reconnaissance, or any other form of long-distance transportations. The sensors developed by Neuron have made all the above-mentioned aspects possible through several experiments, trials, and tests. The infrastructures developed by Neuron with the help of Hedera Hashgraph will keep these unmanned drones safe on air without hindering the activities on land.
As per the reports, these trials have been funded by the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy in the United Kingdom. Given the way the world is progressing, this project developing sensors for drone movement is fuelled by its logistical importance. When fully functional, this project would increase the accessibility of remote areas, become seminal to the security of the country, and would play an integral part in the healthcare system. Moreover, this could be a potential area for Hedera Hashgraph to establish a real-world utility, probably soon.
The HBAR ecosystem is a project jointly administered by the tech-leviathans of the world, including Google, IBM, Boeing, and LG Electronics. This altcoin has been thriving in silence as it hopped to the all-time high of $0.57 from $0.04 within a year. The coin is the 34th largest cryptocurrency in terms of market cap and is currently valued at $0.26. According to the HBAR price prediction from CryptoNewsZ.com, the coin could go easily up to $1, if not more, by 2026. The feasibility of this feat looks much brighter with the currency’s focus directed towards ambitious projects like air traffic regulation.
