Four.meme launches the MEME Oscar event. The event is pretty much, as it sounds, about the culture of meme. In fact, the platform has even said in the official blog post that the primary goal of hosting the event is fostering the meme culture. The announcement about the launch serves as an invitation to all the creative minds who want to capitalize on their unique talent. Within the time window, participants only have to create a meme on Four.meme and register it on the Dorahacks Oscars page.
Winners get several awards; however, two of them stand out. Four.meme has said winners will get 1 million Four.meme points and $20,000 in meme tokens. Participants can send their memes in any of the available categories. The official blog post highlights a total of 7 categories. Some of them are Best Meme, Best Trade, and Best Community. Notably, the awards mentioned represent a prize pool. This implies that the winners will receive a share of the prize pool, not the full reward.
Interested participants can sign up at any moment. Registration for the event begins on August 14, 2024, 12:00 PM GMT+8. It will conclude on September 6, 2024, with guest judges including, but not limited to, NBA star Thompson, In2Ventures founder Bili, and the FOUR team.
Nominee selection and announcement will happen between September 6, 2024, and September 9, 2024. The entire campaign will be concluded with the announcement of the results on September 13, 2024, following the selection of the final victors between September 9 and 13.
Every category will feature five nominees. A combination of public votes and a judging panel, each contributing 50%, will select the final winner. Fans will have a chance to look at the memes before casting their votes in their favor or in another meme’s favor.
Each category has its own set of criteria. The criteria for the Best Meme, for instance, are 50% each in the DEX volume and market value. In the same vein, Best Trade has a 60% DEX volume and 40% gas consumption. In order to qualify as nominees, projects must be initiated on PancakeSwap. Plus, they need to meet market capitalization requirements.
Scores will be determined out of 100 under Nominees, Public Vote, and Committee, and they will be tallied by using the below-mentioned formula:
Final Winner Score = Nominee Score + (Public Vote Score * 50%) + (Committee Score * 50%)
Four.meme is a MEME platform based on BNB Chain. This is not the first noteworthy event for the BNB ecosystem. The Chain itself had previously announced Meme Innovation Battle Round 3—Birth of MEME Heroes. It is a part of BNB’s commitment to support the growth of meme coins and the entire segment.
Four.meme, along with Myshell, FLAP, and Burve, are on the list to host the event. BNB Chain has allocated a prize pool of $150,000 for this campaign.
