Crypto.com has announced a partnership with UEFA for the UEFA Champions League. The partnership entitles Crypto.com, a cryptocurrency platform, to bear the flag of a global sponsor under a multi-year agreement. This makes Crypto.com the first and exclusive crypto platform as a global sponsor of the UEFA Champions League.
At the UEFA Super Cup on August 14, 2024, Crypto.com will showcase its branding as an official global sponsor.
The partnership entails multiple elements, like driving fan engagement inside the stadium, creating memorable moments, and supporting innovative advertising campaigns. It gives Crypto.com access to a larger user base, especially those who devote themselves to sports. This is part of its efforts to connect with the sports and entertainment community. Consequently, it is expanding its user base, which currently exceeds 100 million.
Steven Kalifowitz has called this exclusive partnership a significant step in their mission of engaging with customers. The Chief Marketing Officer at Crypto.com has further stated that this is a result of building a successful brand plus community via innovative and groundbreaking moments. Steven has also acknowledged the tournament’s reputation, calling it one of the most iconic global sporting events.
Guy-Laurent Epstein, the UEFA Marketing Director, has responded by acknowledging the contribution of Crypto.com. He has stated that Crypto.com is one of the prominent supporters of teams and events, and that the collaboration is a thrilling new chapter for them as well. Epstein has stated that they are now getting ready to embrace new technology to enhance the experience for their community and fans.
Crypto.com has now partnered with most of the iconic events, people, and places. The list includes Formula 1, UFC, The FIFA World Cup 2022, and Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, among others.
The partnership comes at a time when the crypto market is emerging from the recent crash. Such an association helps digital tokens gain larger recognition and adoption across the world.
Crypto.com had previously collaborated with the AFL Event Office. A partnership with the online portal has enabled the users of the crypto platform to buy premium packages of events via Crypto.com Pay on the official website of AFL Event Officer. The development began on June 27, 2024, when users received a limited-time offer of 10% CRO, valid until July 26, 2024.
Next, Crypto.com entered into a partnership with the Abu Dhabi Combat Club ahead of the ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship 2024. This development dates back to July 30, 2024, making it official for Crypto.com to become the exclusive crypto partner of the event, which is slated to happen in Las Vegas, Nevada, from August 17-18.
For now, all eyes are on Crypto.com and UEFA to see how the partnership takes shape in the future. Despite the fact that both sides have warmed up to each other and are looking forward to venturing into the landscape of innovation and engagement, hopes are optimistic about their association.
