The incident was escalated by Argentine President Javier Milei’s involvement, after he publicly endorsed $LIBRA, describing it as a mere ‘sharing’ initiative.
Amid this, Four.meme, MyShell, and Bacon Protocol have responded by making a generous collective donation of $60,000 in tokens to the victims. The support also aims to showcase the strength of community engagement within the BSC ecosystem. Both MyShell and Bacon Protocol also played an instrumental role in this donation campaign.
Eddie, a representative of Four.meme, commented on the power of meme culture and decentralized finance, saying, “This donation not only helps the affected users but also demonstrates our commitment to community responsibility and shared progress in the decentralized finance space.”
Although the $LIBRA incident has left many shaken, it has also sparked a wave of philanthropy within the crypto industry. Recently, CZ (Changpeng Zhao) also contributed by donating 150 BNB, offering encouragement to those affected. However, the situation took an unexpected turn when one recipient of the donation, known as ‘$Broccoli Whale,’ exploited CZ’s philanthropic gesture to profit, making a staggering $26 million from the donation.
