Headquartered in Canada, the leading blockchain firm Blockstream has announced the news about the addition of ten high potential member firms to the prestigious Liquid Network Federation. The new inclusion of ten firms has brought the total membership of Liquid to a celebratory count of 45 exchanges and institutions. The significant news was circulated in the industry through a post on Blockstream’s official Twitter handle. The post read:

According to the reports, the latest member firms added to the Liquid network take pride in being the first new group onboarded by the Liquid Membership Board since its inception in October 2019. The firms shall now be allowed to gain access to an array of prime responsibilities and lucrative offerings on the network. Liquid Network gives its members a fair chance to participate in the process of the addition of new members and in giving relevant inputs fostered towards the development of new features and attributes to make the network sustain the prevailing competition in the marketspace. The ten new members of the Liquid Network’s federation are:
- Aquanow
- DVChain
- MerklePro
- Hodl Hodl
- Ledger
- ListedReserve
- Point95 Global
- STOKR
- Wiz
- Wyre
Apart from the above-mentioned offerings, the Liquid Network’s federation members are allowed to peg-out bitcoin to their own cold wallet and offer exchange service to their customers. Peg-out is a crucial process that allows users to transfer Liquid Bitcoins back to the Bitcoin mainchain via the Liquid sidechain. A few new members have completed Liquid integrations, while some will be launching soon.
The members who have completed Liquid integrations include:
- Hodl Hodl- The platform has included support for L-BTC as a payment option on its custodial Bitcoin marketspace.
- STOKR- It has collaborated with the Liquid Securities platform to streamline the issuance of Liquid-based security tokens.
- Wyre- Wyre has launched an Apple Pay quick-buy widget for L-BTC, which is now operable on Liquid.net.
- Wiz- The platform has added L-BTC P2P trading to Bisq and has created a proof-of-concept Liquid mempool monitor.
The upcoming integrations include:
- Ledger- It is onboarding Liquid asset support to the Ledger hardware wallets and Ledger Vault.
- Listed Reserve- The platform will launch a Liquid-powered Australian dollar-pegged stablecoin.
- DVChain, MerklePro, and Point95- The firms shall be integrating with a Liquid-based settlement solution that is in its development stage in Japan.
The network’s integration with Wyre will help the US-customers to purchase L-BTC on Liquid.net using Apple Pay or debit card at their convenience. Others can look out for L-BTC markets accessible on Bitfinex, BTSE, Sideshift AI, Hodl Hodl, etc.
