Leading South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb Global announced on Thursday that it has entered into a partnership with the crypto payments ecosystem Mercuryo. This, it stated, will give users more options to trade crypto with fiat currencies.

Confirming the news, Mercuryo stated that it is now possible for the crypto space in South Korea to buy cryptocurrencies using the Korean Won on Bithumb. “Simply use your credit/debit bank card, and Mercuryo will do the rest,” it added.
Mercuryo is an Estonia based crypto payments ecosystem, which allows users to convert fiat to crypto and vice versa through its secure and reliable crypto wallet. The platform is also said to be working on a cryptocurrency card, expected to launch soon.
“Mercuryo provides a secure payment gateway for bankcard purchases of crypto currency. Users’ card transactions are protected by MasterCard Secure Code and Verified by VISA. Its low-cost solution also provides maximum security for card data and customer details.”
On the other hand, Bithumb is one of the largest crypto exchanges in South Korea and is working had to establish its name on the global stage.
As a result of the partnership with Mercuryo, bethumb users will access to 10 new fiat currencies, which includes Euro (EUR), Russian Ruble (RUB), Indonesia Rupiah (IDR), Pound sterling (GBP), United States Dollar (USD), Korea won (KRW), Japanese Yen (JPY), Turkish Lira (TRY), Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH), and Argentine Peso (ARS).
