Ben Chow, co-founder of Meteora, has publicly clarified his and his company’s lack of involvement in the controversial $LIBRA cryptocurrency project, which has faced significant backlash after being labeled as one of the largest rug pulls in crypto history. In a series of social media statements, Chow refuted any participation in the operations of $LIBRA and reiterated that neither he nor Meteora had received, managed, or engaged with any $LIBRA tokens privately.
$LIBRA Rug Pull: Meteora Rejects Involvement
As the $LIBRA project continues to spark controversy, Chow’s clarifications aim to clear up any misunderstandings about Meteora’s role and reaffirm the company’s commitment to transparency.
There have been questions regarding Meteora and my involvement in $LIBRA, so I want to explain our role and share why we work with 3rd parties.

Chow addressed growing speculation, explaining that Meteora, a company that offers technical support for crypto projects, had no role in the launch of $LIBRA. He further stated that neither he nor his team had been involved in any off-chain transactions or had compromised the project by leaking information.
“The Meteora team and I did not purchase, receive, or manage any tokens, nor did we play any part in the $LIBRA launch,” Chow emphasized. He also clarified that his recommendation of Hayden Davis from Kelsier Ventures as a deployer and market maker to various projects, including the MELANIA project, was based on their past successful collaboration on the M3M3 project.
While Hayden Davis became aware of the $LIBRA project only a few weeks ago, Chow confirmed that the Meteora team’s role in $LIBRA was purely technical and limited to offering platform support. Meteora was not involved in the project’s operations, nor did it acquire or manage any tokens.
Chow also highlighted the stringent confidentiality measures in place at Meteora, noting that only a select few engineers are privy to project details just moments before token launches. This policy is designed to maintain the integrity of token projects and ensure that confidential information remains secure.
