Mainnet alpha delivery of zkEVM rollup network

Linea begins the process of mainnet alpha delivery of the zkEVM rollup network. This is after a fruitful testnet stage which witnessed 5.5 million wallets carry out more than 46 million transactions. Through this achievement, Linea now joins the ranks of being one of the biggest and quickest projects on Goerli. Linea will soon be bringing launch associates on board, followed by furthering the network during ETHCC. Linea comes with the strength of zero-knowledge proofs and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) equivalent. This provides builders the opportunity of building upgradeable dApps and shifting the present ones sans the need to alter code.

In order to unleash mainnet alpha, the team members of Linea took the initiative of building, testing, and modeling multiple enhancements on prime segments of the zkEVM framework. These alterations are carried out to help in boosting the network’s functions,  as well as make it more user-friendly. Further, the transaction costs get lessened.

Further, there is the case of allowing better incorporation with MetaMask, which will be providing its bridge, swap, and buy functions in Portfolio for the benefit of users. The alpha deliverance is significant in terms of coming up with a decentralized and upgradeable network. In this phase, users will get exposure to a live situation, and their interests will be safeguarded.

Certain modifications were made in the Linea Alpha v0.2.0 scaling. There was batch conflation for lessening set costs for L2 blocks. A fresh type of canonical message service was introduced. There was a low feasible product deliverance of Postman SDK. The introduction of a fresh type of canonical token bridge took shape. There was the scaling of the rollup zkEVM contract. There was the scaling of prover and block production and trace generation parts for backing the new framework.

While the mainnet alpha is being delivered, the associates have been involved in creating the safeguards in terms of the users, as well as the dApp associates and the network itself. Initially, the RPC calls will be at the disposal of the delivery associates. In the midst of the ETHCC phase, plans are afoot to further the reach of the network while holding back on withdrawals. The safety factor of mainnet alpha heads the list of priorities.

For the last two months, a massive number of early community members and associates linked up with the Linea Voyage to boost Linea. In return, they will receive an array of digital NFT art pieces. Soon, MetMask and Consensys NFT will join on mainnet. Linea utilizes Ether, taken from the Ethereum mainnet, in the form of its conventional currency.
