Emails between Satoshi Nakamoto and Adam Back come to light

Emails exchanged by Satoshi Nakamoto with Adam Back have come to light. They date back to 2008, four months before the official launch of Bitcoin. Satoshi Nakamoto is a pseudonym for the main creator of the dominating token. Adam Back is one of the most famous cartographers. Emails have to come to light as a part of the ongoing CSW case, wherein CSW refers to Craig Steven Wright.

The Australian computer engineer and businessman claimed he was the main part of the team behind the cryptocurrency. Most of the community refused—and still refuses—to acknowledge that claim.

According to emails exchanged, the interaction was grounded around seeking permission from Back to quote his previous articles in the Bitcoin Whitepaper. Adam responded, stating that the citation was correct and that he would give the paper a read. Moreover, Back suggested Satoshi review the B-money article authored by Wei Dei.

Interestingly, Wei Dei remains the main contender for Satoshi Nakamoto’s original identity. Dei was a cryptographer working on the concept of digital currency, and his work could take forward Nakamoto’s efforts.

A total of 5 emails were exchanged between them. In the third email, Satoshi admitted to not going through the article Adam had suggested. However, he did thank him for the second email. Back then, he apologized in one of the emails by stating that he had yet to go through his Bitcoin Whitepaper. He did direct Satoshi to another article titled Micromint.

Their interaction concluded in the last email, with Satoshi shedding light on the official software version of Bitcoin. Back reconsidered Bitcoin only in 2012.

The development has put the community to work, with most of the members commencing their inspection. Some of them have said that there was a team behind Bitcoin since one of the lines in the email said, We propose a solution. Others speculate that he could have sent those emails to himself using two different email IDs. One member also said it was probably Adam Back emailing himself. The sights are now on the next plot twist in the Bitcoin community.

Bitcoin never really left the limelight. If anything, these emails have brought more attention to it since they have surfaced for the public. The BTC price remains down by 0.91% in the last 24 hours, exchanging hands at $51,287.70 at the time of writing this article. It further reflects a fall of 1.18% and a rise of 28.29% in the last seven days and 30 days, respectively.

Craig Steven Wright is determined to prove that he is Satoshi Nakamoto. He had made the claim publicly, saying that he was the main part of the team behind Bitcoin and the creator’s identity. The media and the crypto community had downplayed his claims.
