Donations From EatBCH Give Rise to the New Initiate, “Blockchain Feeds Venezuelans”

Venezuela is currently grappling with various problems, and among them, high inflation rate and shortage of basic commodities figure on top. Due to these major issues, it has become quite an uphill task to lead a normal life in the country.

Earlier, there were reports that a large number of people living in Venezuela were eating less food and spending a major chunk of their wages on procuring food and other basic commodities. According to a survey carried out in 2016, it was found out that 30 percent of children in the country are malnourished.

Now two brothers, namely Jose and Gabriel hailing from Venezuela, have started a unique initiative to combat the various issues that have plagued the country in recent years. Now Blockchain will start feeding Venezuelans via EatBCH. EatBCH is a charitable organization that has launched a food drive initiative to tackle the ongoing issues glaring the country.

Gabriel and Jose have taken a great initiative to channelize donations received from various parts of the world using blockchain technology as the only viable method.

In a bid to overcome the challenges in the financial industry linked to the transfer of currencies all over the globe, EatBCH came forward and decided to integrate cryptocurrencies as a tool for obtaining aids. The charitable organization is also hoping high that various other organizations will also come forward and become an integral part of the key initiative.

Earlier in the year 2018, Jose went on to divulge that several other countries have expressed their concerns about the condition of Venezuela and they inquired him more about the ground realities on Reddit.

Interestingly Jose received a request from one such person to send him his Bitcoin Cash address in a bid to send him $5 for purchasing food for the needy children. Subsequently, Jose and his friend utilized the money for purchasing food for a malnourished family and 40 other starving people.

They decided to liaison with other charitable organizations for the purpose of donating money for the similar cause and shared their Bitcoin Cash address as well to receive further assistance. By selling their BCH donations, these two brothers purchased food with the help of local merchants and shared photos online to prove that they are indeed utilizing the money for the real cause.

Now, EatBCH has become hugely famous and continues to get many donations to feed scores of hungry Venezuelans.

It is worth mentioning that Gabriel and Jose received an invitation from Washington, DC, to give a speech on the success of this unique initiative. The initiative has also received the backing of American oriented food startups.
