Brave Browser Is Integrating With Solana Blockchain

Brave browser has announced the release of its 1.39 desktop through integration with Solana Blockchain. The integration will enable the users to explore the Web3 ecosystem, and new adapters will find it easier to get onboard with Web3.

Brave 1.39 carries a much lower transaction fee than the Ethereum network. With faster processing time, Brave will allow its users to access a thriving ecosystem that still has a lot to offer in the future. The integration includes the partnership of Brave Wallet and BAT with Ramp and Magic Eden.

Brave users can buy Solana and other cryptocurrencies through Ramp through the integration. They can also buy, sell, and store Solana & fungible Solana Tokens in Brave Wallet. Basic Attention Token holders will be able to use the token on the Solana Chain and every other chain compatible with Ethereum and Ethereum Virtual Machine, also known as EVM.

Integration of Brave with Solana was earlier announced in November last year to expand the support and possibilities to all the users. Plans are to further strengthen the integration by leveraging Solana as the default network for BAT and Brave Wallet.

Anatoly Yakovenko, a Co-Founder of Solana, called the inclusion of Solana by Brave an important step on the path of onboarding a billion users to Web3. Brendan Eich, the Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder of Brave, stated that the company was looking forward to harnessing Solana’s growing and thriving dApp ecosystem.

Plans of Brave include enabling BAT holders to buy & sell non-fungible tokens on Magic Eden and support decentralized applications on the Solana desktop.

Brave was started to tackle the issue of privacy and creepy advertisements. Seeing its commitment to the goal, it envisioned that more than 50 million users would have switched to the platform for a better experience. Products offered by Brave include Brave Browser, Brave Search, Brave Wallet, and many others.

Brave browser is based on the concept of maintaining the privacy of the user. It has been coined best in class for blocking unwanted advertisements and automatically disabling all the trackers added by websites. Brave browser allows users to import bookmarks and other settings from another browser.

Brave Search disables data sharing. Unlike other brands, it does not use a user’s data to share or sell to a third party. It has come out as a perfect alternative to Google with a strong build on an independent index that eliminates the deployment of secret methods and biased algorithms.

Users can access their crypto wallet directly at the browser through Brave Wallet. They are not required to add any extension or download software, and it mitigates the vulnerability to theft, spoofing, and phishing. Brave Wallet allows users to buy, send, store, or swap their digital assets and non-fungible tokens. Brave’s other features are Talk, Firewall + VPN, Playlist, News, and Rewards.
