BitPay Adds Support to XRP; XRP Goes Live

The Atlanta-based global bitcoin payment services providing platform BitPay has announced that leading cryptocurrency XRP is live on its network. On Tuesday, BitPay officially broke the news about the platform adding support to XRP in its wallet app. The XRP integration is the joint effort of the BitPay team as well as the team of the Ripple developer platform, Xpring.

With the addition of XRP on the BitPay network, the platform now boasts of lending support to seven virtual assets, including BTC, ETH, BCH, GUSD, PAX, USDC, and the latest inclusion XRP. The integration of the two leading solutions has paved the way for the success and expansion of the customer base hailing from different parts of the world for both BitPay and XRP. XRP shines as the third-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization touching $10.1 billion mark.

According to the official announcement, the collaboration will allow the customers to indulge in spending of their XRP holdings with BitPay merchants as well as the investors will be rendered to pay BitPay invoices with the virtual asset manifesting global payments.
